EDITING & PUBLISHING
I’m currently freelancing full-time as a copyeditor and proofreader; I specialise in nonfiction and poetry, but I’m open to other genres and forms. I also accept work as industry consultant, manuscript assessor, sensitivity/beta reader, editorial mentor, literary prize judge and grant assessor. (Don’t hesitate to book me or enquire, or take a look at the types of editing service I offer!) Every project I work on benefits from my two decades of experience across book, periodical and digital/web publishing. Across my various roles, I have project-managed titles from the pitch stage to editing to design; coordinated teams of authors, other editors and designers; and liaised with printers, publicists, distributors and the media. Outside of the publishing industry, I have taken on editorial, creative and production roles in the festival and community sectors. These roles have involved penning program and promotional copy, tailoring documents for a range of stakeholders and producing public-facing deliverables. More recently, I’ve also branched out into corporate editing (overseeing SEO/SERP, usability and brand expectations) as well as content localisation. |
