EDITING & INDUSTRY

I’m currently freelancing full-time as a copyeditor and proofreader; I specialise in nonfiction and poetry, but I’m open to other genres and forms. I also accept work as industry consultant, literary prize judge, grant assessor, manuscript assessor, sensitivity/beta reader and editorial mentor. (Don’t hesitate to book me or enquire!)

Every project I work on benefits from my fifteen-plus years of experience across book, periodical and digital/web publishing. Across my various roles, I have project-managed titles from the pitch stage to editing to design, and coordinated teams of authors, other editors and designers. I have liaised with printers, publicists, distributors and the media as well.

Outside of publishing, I have taken on editorial-adjacent and arts-production roles in the festival and community sectors. These roles have involved penning program and promotional copy, tailoring documents for a range of stakeholders and producing public-facing collateral.
